With over 17 years of experience in hockey development, Matt Chiarantano is a seasoned professional dedicated to nurturing top-tier talent. Currently serving as an Assistant Coach for the Brampton Steelheads in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), Matt brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his coaching techniques and practices.
Matt has a proven track record of working with elite athletes from various leagues, including the NHL, AHL, NCAA, and CHL. His expertise in developing players' skills, strategies, and overall game performance has made him a respected figure in the hockey community. Committed to excellence, Matt Chiarantano continues to inspire and lead the next generation of hockey players with his innovative coaching techniques and unwavering dedication.

Liam Ham- Development Coach- Brampton Steelheads (OHL)

Liam Ham brings leadership, experience, and a proven developmental mindset to MAC Hockey. A four-year OHL veteran with the Niagara IceDogs and Mississauga Steelheads, where he served as captain, Liam built his reputation on competitiveness, professionalism, and a strong understanding of the modern game. During his playing career, he attended NHL rookie tournament with the Arizona Coyotes and Development camp the Toronto Maple Leafs, giving him firsthand insight into the standards, pace, and expectations at hockey’s highest level.
After the OHL, Liam continued his career at the University of Guelph, playing three seasons with the Gryphons and wearing a letter in two of those years. He completed a Business degree with certificates in Communication and Leadership, strengthening his ability to teach, mentor, and guide young athletes.
A multi-sport athlete growing up, Liam developed a broad foundation of athletic habits and movement skills that now shape his approach to player development.
At MAC Hockey, Liam’s goal is straightforward: use his experience, technical knowledge, and leadership to develop well-rounded athletes. He focuses on building skill, hockey IQ, and strong habits while fostering confidence, discipline, and character—helping players grow both on and off the ice.
